Preston "Rabbit" Halcomb
"Rabbit" Halcomb is local to Letcher County. He has been a popular artist for more than 20 years. The response we are getting from the coal mining community is extremely gratifying, especially since the coal mining paintings were his first paintings to be published. He was a coal miner himself, so he has a real affinity for this particular work. "Chapel In The Snow" and "Snowy Crossing" are printed as a set, if ordering signed and numbered editions of these prints you will get the same number for both prints.

A Giclee is a printing technique. It is a 6 color process (as opposed to the standard 4 color process) which allows the prints to match more closely to the original painting than the 4 color process allowes. What is even more exciting about a Giclee is that they are museum quality and the inks have been treated with a UV protective treatment to keep the prints from fading. The Giclee on Canvas is mounted on a foam core board and is framed without glass. When framed it looks like an original painting. The Giclee on Paper is matted and framed under glass. In deciding which Giclee you want, be aware that the matted print will be larger than the print on canvas.

The following are pictures of the Reception and Release of the print entitled "Work Corner" by Preston "Rabbit" Halcomb. The prints were released at OMNI Gallery in Whitesburg, Kentucky on October 18, 2003. We had a great turnout for the event and the release of the print was a huge success. Rabbit is currently putting the finishing touches on the companion piece to "Work Corner", which will be "Work Corner II". "Work Corner II" will be available in print in about 4 weeks. When you buy a copy of "Work Corner", you will automatically be given first choice to purchase the corresponding number of "Work Corner II". This will be a set of two prints and sets of prints are always more valuable is you have the entire set in the same number.
